Sometimes it marks as a milestone in relations and many a times it marks the start of a new relation…. but the importance of a gift doesn’t end there.

Through this blog, I will like to share some of the gift ideas which I have tried or have seen getting success in conveying the thoughts across the hearts…. Etched Glass Work

“Mera vachan pathar ki lakir hai…” (my words are like line etched on rocks)… quite filmy, isn’t it… I am sure every other soul must have heard of this at some point or the other. and may have mocked at it considering it stupid and impractical.

However, it is these words, which can make a woman, go weak at her knees. No matter how much girls hate it in public; they do like it when they hear it from a true heart. Moreover, it would make double an impact if you could make it happen for her.

Etched Glass

Here comes the idea #9- Etched glass. You would be surprised to know that I conceived this idea just a day before my 6th semester exam while I was studying for my paper on manufacturing process. Without going into further details of Mechanical Engineering, I will just speak what you are required to know to go forth with the concept.

You need – A glass piece (min 6″x6″) and some photoshop skills.

Prepare the drawing or the caption using any photo editor. MS paint comes handy when you do not have anything else. And give it to any glassworks shop for etching. It will take about a day or two depending upon the workload at the shop.

Note: – Use more of graphics rather than text. According to many glass workers, it is difficult to etch letters of English alphabet. So you would be charged more for that. I do not know if it’s true. But ya be ready to hear such reasons.

Lately I have come across something known as acid work. It is much more clear and deep. You may have seen it on doors or windows of restaurants or hotels. However, for this ecstasy you will have to shell you few extra bucks. Go for it if money is not a constraint. Let me assure you, the outcome will be worth every penny spent.
Now when you have this glass etched or acid worked, you can gift it like this or you can use glass painting over it to make it more colourful.

Why is it that man always craves for something which is difficult to attain. This philosophy applies almost everywhere including gifts. An unexpected gift is always the one which is remembered for a longer time and if there is some amount of difficulty involved in receiving that gift then it adds to excitement.

I wont say this is gonna be easy task, because it really is not so. All we need is to get some articles of the person’s choice. But that is not the intended gift. It can be anything ranging from a simple letter, to a sweet kiss, to a rose, to a portrait, or any other gift article of the receivers choice.

The intended gift will be the way he/she will receive those gifts. You can plan a treasure hunt. You will need support from your friends to do the task.

Make a new email id which you will use to communicate with the receiver in this regard. just start off by sending an email to her stating the new email id and its password. and give her the first clue of when and where and from whom she will get the gift.

The friend will give her the gift and will also handover another clue to lead to next gift and the next gift. You can start this process 7 days before her b’day and provide her with the clue at the rate of 1 clue/day… no matter how small the gift is, she will surely enjoy cracking the code while enacting sherlock holmes and receiving those gifts one by one.

Just make sure to increase the difficulty as she gain experience in your techniques.. and make the last gift the best one, something which will surely make those silver droplets to fall off her eyes.

Watch Movies from a different angle

Movies since a long time have been a good reason for dating. But now when its way too common people dont pay much heed to watch colors of emotion on screen, together.  Its not that people have turned emotionless,  for they can never be. No matter what you’ll always find girls and some of the guys crying while watching movies. hehe 

If you are watching a movie on some special occasion like a birthday of your loved one then i suggest adding an extra angle to the seemingly normal experience by making it a bit personalised. All Cinema halls have options to show ads before the start of a movie. I suggest showing up a dedication frame or a small video before the movie and to play the birthday song in the background.

Even if many girls dont like PDA, there is no such girl who hates to experience it. And for guys, PDA is more of an assurance of the relationship. So this idea work both ways. Guys try it on… and dont forget to carry tissue with you, girls with overactive tear glands may become a bit embarrasing.

21st Birthday

I just hope none of you is thinking whats so great in 21st birthday. Because certainly it is different. Turning 21 years old is an exciting time in our lives. It gives a person right to do things which he/she cudnt(shudnt) have tried earlier, gambling being one of those, and getting married is the other one (oops now thats scary). This is why you deserve to celebrate your 21st birthday in style.

The sole objective of such a gift being the happiness of the person receiving it. What can be better than gifting one full day to the person. Ya you heard it correctly, it would be best if you can spend the whole day with the person.  Go to a resort or a theme park. If thats not possible then try the following.

The idea is to give her/him not one but 21 gifts. Ya thats wat salman khan did for ashwarya, had that been done on a good note then he would have been successful for sure. Make those 21 gifts symbolic to the life of the concerned person, or something which related to some incident of his life.

A lot can happen over Coffee – CCD…

Here comes yet another idea. This aint a new idea but i would like to bring it back to your memory through this post.
The caption of CCD says a lot can happen over a coffee. Is it really so ?? Had that been so then no guy in the world would have been single till now…

Actually a coffee date is something which all of you must have experienced by now. Then why didnt that make any difference… just because it has become way too common now. You can add an extra flavour to your coffee date by getting an cold coffee iced with a nice caption for your beloved.

Many people use it for proposal as well. It surely makes an impact because all girls like PDA (Public Display of Affection), upto some extent.

Idea for Book Worms

 
This idea is only for the book lovers and those who like to write as much as they like to read.

The idea is to make a Read Along Version of a book for your that someone special. All you need to do is to write your opinion at the side of the pages of the novel such that the reader will feel as if he/she is reading it with you.
I would rate this gift as a bit difficult as not only it will take time to create it but to find such a novel on which you can write.

Thankfully I found one such novel “Anything for you madam” which was having many instances to match my life. So will just suggest you to keep looking.

An Invisible Letter !!!

Puzzled ?? Wondering what does it mean ?? How can anyone read a letter which is invisible. Yeah, its possible.
Like you must have seen in some detective TV Serials, you too can also do it.

You need: An pen with invisible ink (its available in mela’s in India) and a nice puzzle.

Invisible ink is some kind of ink which becomes visible under UV light. Such pens have UV light emitting LED in their caps, whose presence is not very apprarent.

Steps:  Write the letter on a plain paper using the bulb at the cap for illumination and then put a puzzle in the end of the letter which will give a clue about how to read this letter. And enclose that pen with the letter. Let her solve the puzzle to use the pen for reading the message in the blank paper.

And then onwards you can use this technique to communicate with your someone special in special way without letting even her parents know the trick.
