“Mera vachan pathar ki lakir hai…” (my words are like line etched on rocks)… quite filmy, isn’t it… I am sure every other soul must have heard of this at some point or the other. and may have mocked at it considering it stupid and impractical.
However, it is these words, which can make a woman, go weak at her knees. No matter how much girls hate it in public; they do like it when they hear it from a true heart. Moreover, it would make double an impact if you could make it happen for her.
Etched Glass
Here comes the idea #9- Etched glass. You would be surprised to know that I conceived this idea just a day before my 6th semester exam while I was studying for my paper on manufacturing process. Without going into further details of Mechanical Engineering, I will just speak what you are required to know to go forth with the concept.
You need – A glass piece (min 6″x6″) and some photoshop skills.
Prepare the drawing or the caption using any photo editor. MS paint comes handy when you do not have anything else. And give it to any glassworks shop for etching. It will take about a day or two depending upon the workload at the shop.
Note: – Use more of graphics rather than text. According to many glass workers, it is difficult to etch letters of English alphabet. So you would be charged more for that. I do not know if it’s true. But ya be ready to hear such reasons.
Lately I have come across something known as acid work. It is much more clear and deep. You may have seen it on doors or windows of restaurants or hotels. However, for this ecstasy you will have to shell you few extra bucks. Go for it if money is not a constraint. Let me assure you, the outcome will be worth every penny spent.
Now when you have this glass etched or acid worked, you can gift it like this or you can use glass painting over it to make it more colourful.
